Sunday, 31 July 2011, my best friend and I succeeded buying two Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part 2) theatre tickets at Empire studio, BIP after queueing up for about half hour long. Everybody looked so enthusiastic to buy a ticket even though they had to wait in line for hours. Harry Potter has been blowing the universe up since ten years ago until present. Can you imagine when the whole theatre explode into applause? Well I have never seen Indonesian people giving applause for movies they are watching, but then I have already seen the blast now, for Harry Potter finale. Every single scene Yates set in the film made everyone jawdropped that was sure enough meningful, exceedingly for muggles.
I myself feel so sad that Harry Potter film has come to an end. Furthermore, my sadness rised after watching some emotional speech videos while they were coming to London Premiere. How will it be living without something that has been more than part of your life? They always knew they would be coming back and this time they knew they will not. This is a very intense ending, enormous. The biggest emotional climax I've been wishing for. The finale exeeded all my expectation! Does it all really end? Glad to hear Jo saying "It's my baby and if I want to take it out and play again I will", then I hope she's really going to play it again, to unite people all over the world, once again.
I learned so much from Snape. He sees Harry, and you can tell he is noticing how much he resembles his father, but there is no doubt that he also saw Lily’s eyes there too, then he notices that Harry’s scar is bothering him, and looks suspiciously at Quirrel because he knows he could be up to something. He already hates Harry so much because he’s a constant reminder of the love he lost and who he lost her to, and yet he tries to keep him safe from the first second he sees him. He doesn’t even have to think about it, he sees that something could put Lily’s son in danger and he instantly starts to put the pieces together to keep him safe.
See now? It's true what Harry says to his son, " Albus Severus Potter, you were named after 2 headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was the bravest man I ever knew." I perfectly agree. Not all people could sacrifice ingenuously for someone they love without telling to a person whom they sacrifice for. Yet this is what he does!
Epilogue; The Weasleys |
J.K Rowling’s books have taught me so much and now of that it’s all coming to a close, all the memories and experiences I have from the books aren’t going to vanish. The books aren’t all being rounded up and burnt. The stories aren’t ending, because for me they will always be here, and even though no other story may ever be as large as the Potter books, there are thousands, probably millions, of amazing stories each with their own message—their own soul—waiting to be discovered.
So I thank you, Jo, for everything, and I am so grateful to have been a part of this amazing fandom, to have lived in history, and to be able to walk forward and continue to share the stories you have given me.
“I solemnly swear to carry this story with me for the rest of my life.”
Keep the fandom strong!
